DANBURY, Conn. – The ECAC has announced the Esports Players of the Week for the period ending 10/29/20.

Overwatch Player of the Week – Chris Protano, So, Johnson & Wales
Chris has lead JWU Yellow to a 4-1 season both in the 2020 spring and fall seasons and led his team to a clean 3-0 sweep this week.

Overwatch Rookie of the Week – Marcus Torre, Fr, Johnson & Wales
Marcus has been a great addition to JWU Yellow as he has stepped into an off-tank role to help solidify JWU yellow to a 4-1 record on the season.

Valorant Player of the Week – Jordan Plaistead, Sr, Elmira College
Jourdan turned the tide for Elmira in Game two with 40 eliminations and ended the night with 79 eliminations through the three game series.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Player of the Week – Ryan DeLayo, Jr, CCSU
Ryan took 16 stocks in total in CCSU B’s 2-1 over Stonehill, including the final 8 stocks of game three to complete the comeback, crediting his patience and ability to stay focused and calm to bring Central the victory with his Link.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Rookie of the Week –  Hector Rivera, Fr, Johnson & Wales
Rivera helped sweep JWU Yellow’s matches against the #8 Albany and #10 NYIT.

FIFA 20 Player of the Week – Timothy Halter, Sr, Stockton University
Tim won his matchup vs Keuka with a tidy 2-0 series win, bringing his record to 3-1 on the season. The win locks him into a playoff spot alongside his fellow Osprey, Nico Mirabella.

FIFA 20 Rookie of the Week – Kyle Crane, Fr, Stockton University
Despite being a newcomer to ECAC, Kyle dominated his matchup in FIFA this week with a conclusive 2-0 win vs Johnson & Wales. He moves to 2-2 on the season and looks to carry the momentum into the final week of the season.
